UNICEF in Serbia is seeking a qualified candidate to provide support in the area of digital communication. This is an on-site full-time assignment with the duration from March 2019 to March 2020.
Purpose of the Assignment:
Digital engagement plays an important role in UNICEF's response to global and national shifts in the fields of communication, fundraising, advocacy and development. Use of digital media platforms helps position UNICEF in Serbia as a knowledge leader, expands outreach and broadens engagement around children's rights.
Under the guidance and supervision of the Communication Officer, the Digital Communication Consultant is responsible for coordinating UNICEF in Serbia’s presence on digital platforms (websites, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube). The consultant should design, manage, maintain, implement and continuously improve UNICEF’s digital plan and digital media communication in order to maximize its online presence, and engage followers in a dynamic, interactive and meaningful way.
Work Assignment Overview
The work will be delivered in accordance with the yearly and subsequent monthly work plans agreed between the Individual Contractor and the Supervisor. The first monthly plan will be established 5 days upon the beginning of the assignment. The consequent monthly reports and monthly outline plans for to following month, defined at the end of each month, will be submitted between the 25th and 30th day every month.
Task 1: Implement UNICEF in Serbia’s Digital Strategy, to gather supporters and stimulate engagement with issues affecting children and women in Serbia. Deliverables: Fun base growth by 10%Timeframe: By end of the assignment
Task 2: Proactively create editorial content (stories, photos, digital campaigns, video, infographics, etc.) in cooperation with Communication, PFP and programme officers and adapt for web and social media. Adapt multimedia assets from DOC for local audiences. Maintain a web and social media calendar of content themes and all upcoming coverage schedules according to the calendar.Deliverables: Monthly web and social media plans; stories, videos, images, infographics, photos posted on digital channelsTimeframe: Weekly and monthly
Task 3: Prepare social media packs for flagship events, initiatives, campaignsDeliverables: Social media packs Timeframe: As per the Office Calendar of Events
Task 4: Prepare and published content to website, and to social media accounts (publishing on Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, etc. through Hootsuite.) on a daily basis.Deliverables: Daily web and social media contentTimeframe: Daily
Task 5: Actively engage with online audiences through social media channels.Deliverable: Monthly reportsTimeframe: Daily/monthly
Task 6: Manage Country Office websites on a daily basis and works to continuously improve the design of the websites; ensures key deadlines are met for the dissemination of time-sensitive content.Deliverable: Monthly reportsTimeframe: Daily
Task 7: Generate and analyse reports on web traffic and KPIs using Google Analytics, Hootsuite, and other social media focused analytics channels. Deliverable: Monthly, quarterly, and yearly reportsTimeframe: Throughout the assignment
