Haiti: Administration & Finance Fellowship

Children’s Nutrition Program of Haiti/Kore Timoun aims to improve health and wellness of children under five through community based prevention and management of malnutrition in Léogâne, Haïti. Our programs promote nutrition in both rural and urban communities through education, maternal child health, community empowerment, and water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH).

The Finance & Administration Fellow works with a strong team of Haitian and expat staff to help fulfill the vision, mission, and activities of the Children’s Nutrition Program of Haiti (CNP)/Kore Timoun. S/he is primarily responsible, with support and supervision from the Executive Director, for ensuring that the objectives and responsibilities outlined below are accomplished and meet the highest professional and ethical standards.

The Admin & Finance Fellowship focuses on supporting our community nutrition programs through effective administration, financial management, and human resource development. Working together with the Executive Director, Programs Manager, Logistics Manager, and Finance Assistant, the Fellow will help build capacity among staff and improve performance. Additionally, the Admin & Finance Fellow’s work will support program expansion through grants management, financial tracking and donor reports.

The Admin & Finance Fellow is based in Léogâne, Haiti, and reports to the Director. This position will require a minimum of 40 hours a week Monday through Friday with occasional weekends. Office hours for fellows are between 8:00am and 4:30pm, with flexible hours in the field.

Core Objectives & Responsibilities

· Human Resource Development: Provide skills training and capacity building for staff in the areas of accounting, record keeping, inventory tracking, and IT. Ensure personnel files are complete and up to date. Support the implementation of HR policies and performance evaluations.

· Financial Management: Monitor program budgets, help minimize logistics and overhead costs, and work with the Finance Assistant to track expenses.

· Grant Management: Assist in managing grant funded projects and compile donor reports

· One week Kreyòl language study at the beginning of the fellowship

• 24 hour security of residence/office.

**Fellow is responsible for providing travel to Haiti, health insurance, and any personal expenses that are incurred **

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree required. Previous experience in grant management, human resource development, or program administration desired. Master’s in public administration, public health, MBA or equivalent desired. Proficient in French and/or Creole strongly preferred.
